Care guide
Caring for block paving
Simple, practical steps to keep it looking its best for years.

Sweep little and often
A stiff brush once a fortnight stops grit and leaves from settling in the joints and holding moisture.
Top up the joint sand
Kiln-dried sand in the joints locks the blocks together. If you can see gaps, brush in fresh sand. A pressure washer will blast it out, so re-sand afterwards.
Deal with weeds early
Pull seedlings while they're small, before roots open the joints. A re-seal after cleaning helps keep them out.
Oil and rust stains
Blot fresh oil straight away with cat litter or sand, then use a dedicated paving cleaner. Don't scrub with plain hot water, because it spreads the stain.
Re-sealing
A good-quality sealant every few years keeps colours rich and resists stains. We offer clean and re-seal visits.
